About the event
This talk will delve into how artists have engaged with politics – sometimes subtly, other times right in your face!
We'll get into how Eugene Delacroix painted a revolution and how Richard Hamilton reacted to the troubles in Northern Ireland, as well as how a painting of two workers was seen as a dangerous political statement after the Communist Manifesto and the 1848 Revolutions across Europe.
