Steve Postgate Exhibition

An exhibition of works by Steve Postgate (MA Fine Art, Christchurch Canterbury)
Steve Postgate will be showing a large and varied collection of canvas paintings in professional acrylic, mostly inspired by his ten years in Cyprus working as a drama, life drawing tutor and resident artist at The Cornaro Institute in Larnaka and Lempa school near Paphos.
He also completed a number of large multi image canvas commissions based on the family histories of international clients resident in Cyprus during this time.
His ceramic sculptures of character animals made at the Makersspace in the Agios Neophytos Monastery in Tala will also be on display.

Max works with wood, plastics and metal to create angular, abstractly shaped wall-based constructions.
Shaping materials with hand tools he assembles the work in a spontaneous puzzle-like manner.

decisions for composition and paint
colour palette.'

This will be our fourth instalment of the '7 Walls' Exhibitions in which each wall of the gallery is dedicated to one artist.
This group show, of 8 Artists this time, will exhibit works from :
LINDSEY CHURCHMAN shows 'Eye of the Beholder' - To appreciate everything around you and consider the beauty in things
that get overlooked.
RACHEL MANNING
SELMA BENAYED will exhibit 'Kaleidosocope on a wall' - a mix of original pieces, limited print runs, canvas acrylics and illustrative pen and wash originals.
CHRIS MILBANK will show recent 2D and 3D work exploring the Classical and the Contemporary in Art.
CAROLE URWIN will display an eclectic mixture of art and decoupage
ELLIE WALKER
RALPH HUNT will exhibit 'Maritime Escapes', subjects captured during visits along the local coastline.
RAY URWIN will be exhibiting 'As I See it', a collection of seriously selected images.

Thanet Through A Lens

Teaching Digital Photography at the Far academy provided an opportunity to hone his skills and, in the process, to capture Thanet through his own unique lens.

Phillip’s work was born out of the underground dance culture movement of the 90’s, with installations commissioned by events across 5 continents.

Wood You Believe It

Seasalter Woodcarving Group are well established, but this is the first time they have exhibited their own work.
​
However, the group's carvings are not new to Herne Bay as they were involved with designing and carving the woodcarvings on the Gideon Scott memorial on the Wimereux Square.

Catching Whispers

Taking inspiration from impressionist paintings of the late 19th century, Laura aims to capture a sense of a time and place in her photographs rather than a direct representation.
Using intentional camera movement, multiple exposures and post-processing, the images become a fusion of photography and art.
