About the event
To tie in with the Herne Bay Cartoon Festival we’ll check out this very British style of satirical humour and the ways cartoons have been employed in a variety of media. We’ll look at the very first cartoon (allegedly!) by John Leech, called ‘Substance and Shadow,’ but we’ll also take in Hogarth and Gillray and of course present day cartoonists from the festival.
Talk run by Angela Inglese
