About the event
The Guerrilla Gardeners of Herne Bay is a community partnership project delivered by Beach Creative and Herne Bay in Bloom integrating ecological practice, participatory arts and intergenerational connection to strengthen wellbeing. It supports residents to co-create edible plantings and public cultural artefacts. The project aims to improve mental health, reduce isolation and build confidence.
This exhibition will showcase some of the work produced so far and attempt to generate more interest and engagement with the people of Herne Bay. We have spent the past four months engaging with schools, young parents and families, young people, older people, intergenerational groups and community events through a variety of creative environmentally-focused activities.
