FREE Creative Children's Workshop
Tuesday 12 August 10:30 – 12:00 / 13:00 – 14:30 Come and make a colourful seaside inspired paper shaker, complete with ribbons! This FREE EVENT is funded by Herne Bay Festival and run by Debbie from Create Crew! It is open to children up to the age of 11. FREE Cyanotype Workshop
Friday 15 August *Fully Booked* 10am-10:30 / 10:45am-11:15 11:30-12:00 Join Emily from the Darkroom at Beach Creative for a FREE Cyanotype workshop funded by Herne Bay Festival. Create striking blue & white prints using UV sensitive paper, and UV rays from the sun. Cyanotype by nature is BLUE, and uses sunlight to expose. The prints give a great base for creating a sea themed print. Slot 1: 10am-10:30am Slot 2: 10:45am-11:15pm Slot 3: 11:30-12pm Schedule per session: Please arrive promptly for your 30 min time slot. This is not a drop in workshop. The session will end promptly at your allocated time slot due to room availability. Please note, children should be supervised by a parent or guardian, you must book the parent or guardian an extra ticket. This is due to room capacity. Sketch Jam
Friday 15 August 17:00 - 19:00 Sketch Jam returns to Beach Creative, as part of Herne Bay Jazz and Swing Festival 2025. Listen to a live Jazz music performance whilst you draw, paint, sketch or simply relax! Bring along your preferred art materials and enjoy. All abilities are welcome. Alice has been writing plays for nearly 10 years with work performed at the New Wimbledon Theatre Studios and the Arden Theatre. She has completed an MA in Theatre Making at the University of Kent (with Distinction) and has been trained under acclaimed playwrights Leo Butler and Dan Rebellato. The classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from the 7th of October to the 18th of November. Book your space at Ticket Tailor for £50 for all 8 sessions or £10 per class to drop in. Tuesdays (Term Time) 11:00 - 12:00 NEW to Beach Creative- a creative group especially for homeschooled children led by the wonderful Debbie Swann from Cygnini Crafts. This new group session is for children aged 7-11 who are being home educated. Sessions run during school terms for 5 weeks. Each term the children will be presented with a new theme so that they can focus on different skills before attempting their own project. Funded by the KCC Arts Investment Fund, HBYA is a pro-active and creative group of young people aged 14 -25 who are developing their own product lines and learning how to market and run their own projects in our space.
